Girls We Serve
Girls Inc. of Tarrant County serves girls in kindergarten through their freshman year of college. In 2017, 10,248 girls participated in comprehensive impact programs. Another 10,472 were reached in outreach activities, such as summer camps and short-term workshops.
The ethnic demographic background is as follows: 45% Hispanic, 35% African American, 11% white, 2% Asian, 6% multiracial, and 1% Native American. 40% are from primarily Spanish-speaking households. 85% of our participants are from low-income households.
